With hand dyed embellishments and spot net fabrics the label combines lady like elegance with urban vulgarity. Inspired by vintage silhouettes and burlesque culture, Pretty Disturbia has had an exciting run since being discovered by the Vauxhall Fashion Scout and has since featured at Liverpool Fashion Week and on the backs of fans including Chloe Cummings and Britain’s Next Top Model contestants.Indeed, Pretty Disturbia are moving ahead in enthusiastic leaps and bounds, and are now set to showcase their wares at London’s Pure Exhibition. The exhibit will feature both Pretty Disturbia’s current AW 09-10 range as well as the much anticipated S/S 10 range. The A/W 09-10 collection, like the S/S 10 range, features references to the good girl gone bad, but with a slightly 80’s, vampyric pastiche of dark elements. Key pieces include floral ensembles, mesh undergarments and printed body con dresses. With hints of noir, Pretty Disturbia’s woman is shadowy, powerfully dangerous with a melting sex appeal. The Pure Exhibition is open on Sunday 2nd August 9.30am- 6pm, Monday 3rd August 9.30am- 6pm and Tuesday 4th August 9.30am- 4.30pm.To register for free entry visit purewomenswear.co.uk.
