London and sunshine, sadly, are not. However, Guess Jeans and vintage collector slash Nike collaborator Sean Wotherspoon are aiming to bring the sun to London, as they launch their Farmers Market in Selfridges this weekend. What can you expect? “Lots of vibrant colours, positive vibes, fresh produce, and a good time,” Wotherspoon tells us. The idea came from frequent Diesel collaborator Wotherspoon who, as an avid vegan, wanted to combine his love for fresh produce and fashion. “Once we started to spitball ideas it felt like the Farmers Market was the way to go,” he says. “It fed into the Guess heritage and fed into my personal style too.” The pop-up will feature reworked signature Guess silhouettes from the archive, using techniques the company has been utilising since the 80s. To Wotherspoon, the capsule epitomises the label: “They authentically represent the then and now of streetwear and fashion in general,” he explains. Continuing to travel around the globe, the pop-up will next travel to Paris, Tokyo, Singapore, and Melbourne. Escape the algorithm!
