While she has been a fan of Saint Laurent – since it was first rebranded by Hedi Slimane – she has not made an appearance on the runway or in a campaign since the Tom Ford-era. Until now. Following a teaser posted on Instagram, the Parisian house has now released the Spring 2018 campaign featuring the iconic model. Photographed by David Sims, the British icon appears in one image dressed in a feathery dress from the SS18 show that paid homage to Yves Saint Laurent’s archive. In the accompanying campaign video, directed by Nathalie Canguilhem, we see Moss on her journey to the top of some steps that look as though they could quite literally lead to heaven. As Moss approaches the peak she has a steamy encounter with Jamie Bochert, before continuing upwards. The next we see she has reached the top and is overlooking what appears to be her empire. The short film ends with the model making her exit via helicopter, baring her breasts from under a fur coat. Now that Moss has another Saint Laurent campaign under her belt, hopefully it won’t be long before she takes to the runway again. Escape the algorithm!
