Staging his show in Florence as part of Pitti Uomo, the collection saw Rubchinskiy riff on Italian sportswear. In fact, he took things one step further and actually collaborated with several vintage Italian sportswear brands such as Fila and Kappa – labels that, if you grew up in the UK, you’ll remember from your childhood. Today, the designer dropped the lookbook for this collection – a series of images shot by Rubchinskiy himself, featuring two of his muses: Felix Edwards and Jonathan Darby, both of whom walked in the SS17 show. “For me it’s very Italy and very Gosha,” he said in an interview with Dazed. “It’s about Europe now. This is the time when people need to collaborate and connect with each other, because we have the internet – everyone knows what's happening around the world so it’s stupid to be isolated. Let’s try to find words and ways to speak and live with each other. This is the main message.” The pieces in this lookbook are specials exclusive to Dover Street Market and are launching on December 1st.
