Three 50 foot long, 5 foot high an impression on the New York skyline. Despite the signage Burberry are very committed to green issues and have made adjustments in the lighting systems to ensure lights automatically switch off when they are not required. Both the global headquarters and the Americas have been designed by Burberry Creative Director Christopher Bailey with a quintessential British twist. "We are all so excited about Madison Avenue. It's such an iconic building, which we feel is the perfect new home for Burberry in America. The aesthetic mirrors our new global headquarters in London and really emphasises to our American consumer the modern expression of the brand" explains Bailey.To mark the opening and to honor the continued investment and commitment Burberry has made to the US, New York City Mayor Bloomberg has declared 28 May 2009 as Burberry Day in New York.
