It feels like fashion’s relationship with music has never been closer. Today, former One Direction singer and Dazed cover star Zayn Malik joined the party, revealing that he’s designed a collection of footwear in collaboration with Italian designer Giuseppe Zanotti. While the star has only revealed one design on Instagram (a navy blue suede desert boot), the full collection is showcased in a shoot for GQ. “Style is not being afraid to be bold about some things, or to say what it is you have to say,” he says in the accompanying interview. “I feel like Giuseppe does that with his collection – and I try to do that with my music. So it kind of works.” This is the second fashion outing for the musician who recently debuted his Mind of Mine tour merch, which saw him collaborate with former Iron Maiden illustrator Mark Wilkinson.
