Now, they’ve released the first images from the collection, styled on a series of ambassadors: Dazed contributor and make-up artist Isamaya Ffrench, DJ Juliana Huxtable, student and activist Amy Sall and musician Oko Ebombo. Citing “print, colour and individuality” as the cornerstones of the collection, Kenzo designers Carol Lim and Humberto Leon have drunk the animal print, acid trip kool aid, with bright clashing leopard and tiger print jumpsuits and accessories. ”We wanted to really tell the story of the brand and of us,” Leon said when the partnership was first announced. “Together with H&M, we will invite all the customers and fans to the real Kenzo world.” Last year’s Balmain launch generated Instagram leaks, mile-long queues, fashion fist fights and a thriving eBay resell market.
