She’s not alone, of course, and is accompanied by some of her creative ‘salon’, including artists Caecilia Tripp, Giovanni Leonardo Bassan, Scarlett Rouge & Anatol La Fayette, filmmakers Katya Bankowsky, Luke Mayes and Alvaro Colom, and finally her boxing coach, former world champion Brice Faradji. Although the places most commonly associated with Lamy and husband Rick Owens are LA and Paris, Dubai is somewhere they have grown strangely fond of. “Dubai is different. We’re poor in Dubai,” Owens divulged to Susannah Frankel in AnOther Magazine’s S/S14 issue. “It’s like a rocket ship that’s taken off and run out of control. It’s like Star Wars – ancient and futuristic at the same time. And then everything has gold slapped on it. For us, what could be weirder?” Every day throughout the trip, Lamy and her collaborators will be sharing their photographs with us, where they’ll be posted across both @dazed and @dazedfashion on Instagram, and as galleries on Dazed Digital. There might even be the occasional cameo from Owens, who, it seems, is at home looking after their Bengal kitten, Gaia. “Meanwhile... back at the ranch”Courtesy of the TribeEscape the algorithm!
