FashionNewsBeth Ditto and Christina Ricci join Marc Jacobs’ campaignStarring alongside Ditto’s wife as well as Sky Ferreira, Bella Hadid, Matty Bovan and more, Marc Jacobs rounds off his impressive SS16 seriesShareLink copied ✔️February 1, 2016FashionNewsTextIone Gamble After tapping the singer for his Hollywood-themed SS16 runway show last September, Beth Ditto is the latest of Marc Jacobs’ muses to front the campaign’s collection. Premiering the final set of images, shot by David Sims, on the designers Instagram this weekend, Ditto features alongside her wife Kristin – with Jacobs naming the couple, “the REAL wives of Portland”. But Ditto wasn't the only inspired addition to the star-studded campaign in recent days. After tapping Juliette Lewis just last week, Jacobs’ premiered a handful of new shots featuring the likes of Christina Ricci, Sky Ferreira and Bella Hadid alongside rising creatives such as ex Marc Jacobs intern and CSM graduate Matty Bovan, who after working at the design house ended up designing a print for the collection. Of Bovan, Jacobs said, “seated beside Sky is our former intern, designer, Matty Bovan. I fell in love with Matty’s illustrations and asked him if he would collaborate with Amie Robertson to work on this iconic print (which he’s wearing)!” The latest drop of images also features Eliot Sumner and ex Marc by Marc Jacobs #castmemarc campaign star Natalie Westling. The last looks from a personal campaign littered with inspirational figures, it’s unsurprising that the designer took to the social media to mark the occasion and express his appreciation for the latest lineup. Following on from naming an eyeliner after Ferreira, Jacobs confessed to being “an avid ‘liker’ of her @instagram”, while also noting Ricci’s role in Buffalo ‘66 “serve as frequent beauty references” for the label. An artful master of casting, the images round off what has arguably been one of the most diverse campaigns of the season, inclusive of all ages, race and gender markers.
