Now, the actress and singer can add another string to her bow – she’s the latest name to model in Marc Jacobs’ SS16 campaign, following the likes of drag star Milk, trans director Lana Wachowski and comedian Sandra Bernhard. Revealing the David Sims-shot image on Instagram – where Lewis stars alongside actress Ruby McCollister and models Riley Montana, Alek Wek and Mattia Pardini – Jacobs explained what made the musician a particular muse. “I have always wanted to work with Juliette Lewis,” he wrote. “She is someone whom I have admired and respected throughout her entire career. After years of asking, I’m so happy we could finally collaborate.” In the image, Lewis dons the American-inspired collection that debuted last September at New York Fashion Week, with Jacobs choosing the famed Ziegfeld theatre for his venue and Beth Ditto hitting the catwalk. “It was a factory of madness,” Ditto revealed in our Winter 2015 issue. “There was so much going on. Have you seen The Muppets Take Manhattan? It was sort of like watching that unfold. One girl was preggers and there was this one cute model who taught me how to walk. But the hard part was keeping up with some of them! I mean, I’m only 5’1” and even in heels it felt like I was running a marathon.” The designer’s AW15 campaign saw everyone from Cher to Sofia Coppola take a turn in front of the camera. If that’s anything to go on, there’ll be even more faces announced on Instagram in the coming weeks... Stay tuned.
