FashionNewsWatch Marc Jacobs hilariously parody iconic Zoolander sceneIn a new video the designer reenacts a scene from the 2001 fashion spoof about a clueless modelShareLink copied ✔️January 4, 2016FashionNewsTextTed Stansfield What do you get when you cross an iconic scene from the world’s favourite fashion spoof and the world’s funniest (real-life) fashion designer? Answer: pure Instagram gold. In a new video posted to his account, Marc Jacobs and three of his friends reenact the “orange mocha frappuccino” scene from Zoolander. Filmed during their holiday in St. Barths, the parody features all the components of the original: Wham!’s “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go”, a Jeep ride and a gasoline fight (though it looks like they used water instead). Of course Jacobs’ parody comes in the run-up to the release of Zoolander’s sequel – Zoolander 2. Due to hit UK cinemas on February 12, the film is set to star a bevy of famous faces from the fashion industry including Naomi Campbell, Jourdan Dunn, Cara Delevingne and Anna Wintour, as well as Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. However it hasn’t been without its controversy: following the release of the trailer in December, the movie faced a boycott for a ‘harmful’ trans character played by Benedict Cumberbatch.
