Earlier this year the fashion icon starred in FKA twigs’ audio-visual epic “M3LL155X” and, in a new interview with Véronique Hyland for The Cut, has opened up about the experience of working with the avant-pop auteur. “I mean, this girl is amazing,” says Lamy. “A while ago, she said she wanted to meet me — we had this little dinner in London. One day she just asked me if I wanted to do a shoot. It was short notice. And she was ready, directing it — everything is her, all the music, the story, everything — she's so soft-spoken.” Still from FKA twigs – “M3LL155X”via youtube.com Lamy continues to express amusement about the finished product: “What a great delight, pushing the baby out from the mouth.” The muse, who has previously collaborated (rapped) with Zebra Katz, is also working on a project with A$AP Rocky, the nature of which remains a firmly under wraps. While she refuses to divulge details about said project, she does say this about the Harlem rap sensation: “I really think he’s a poet.” she says. When quizzed about the necessary criteria for future musical collaborators, she jokes, “Of course they have to be under 30, and I'm like [their] grandmother!” Watch Michele Lamy in FKA twigs – “M3LL155X” below: Escape the algorithm!
