Since graduating from the ranks of MAN to put on his first solo show for SS15 – a tribute to late CSM prof Louise Wilson which had the audience reaching for the tissues – he’s impressed with his AW15 collection, won big at the British Fashion Awards and been shortlisted for the LVMH prize with the best up and coming designers on the planet. Now, on the eve of London Collections: Men, the designer has teamed up with legendary British photographer Nick Knight for a dynamic series of campaign images and film featuring his AW15 collection, with a matching window display at Dover Street Market. “There’s a brilliant tension to Craig’s work,” Knight commented of the designer. “On one hand it’s so simple and pure, rooted in ideas of traditional masculine work wear, but on the other it’s so dynamic, so theatrical – full of energy and movement. That combination is what makes it so special to photograph.” DSM president Adrian Joffe agrees, declaring Green’s last two shows “the most moving I’ve seen in a long time.” See the full film at SHOWstudio.com, check out AW15 below and head here for our longread head to head with Green and Belgian provocateur Walter Van Beirendonck.
