With the launch of Make Up For Ever's new cosmetics campaign on Instagram, Andreja Pejić has become the first openly transgender model to successfully land a make-up campaign.

Since coming out as trans last July, the 23-year-old model has raised $63,325 for a Kickstarter documentary on her life, continued to slay on the catwalk, and landed a role in The Little Mermaid. Busy!

Pejić is immensely popular in our magazine, with editors and readers alike – she made number 73 on the Dazed 100 list, and number 3 on the Readers' 100.

Happily, the success stories don't end with Andreja: with Hari Nef's recent signing to IMG, it really seems like 2015 could be the year things start to change for transgender people in the fashion industry.
