My toothbrush!” laughs Georgia May Jagger in a new behind-the-scenes film, created on set of an upcoming shoot from Dazed’s spring/summer 2015 issue. Dressed in bespoke looks designed by young London queen of kitsch Ashley Williams – including a PVC zip-up skirt complete with Minnie Mouse decal and matching mouse-eared bucket hat – she dishes on style icons, the Spice Girls and why Minnie can pull off polka-dots like no one else. It’s all to mark the launch of #minniestyleuk, a social media search for the best Minnie Mouse inspired images ahead of the Disney star’s exhibition at Somerset House for London Fashion Week next September. Jagger will play curator to the show and is looking for inspiration from creatives, from magazine fashion shoots to pop culture images or even original work made specially. Jagger plans to include her own artwork in the show, which will sit alongside classic images and archive shots of Minnie-inspired fashion (think Madonna's Dear Jessie album cover). “I’ll be looking out for some really fun, modern twists, anything different or that hasn’t really been done before, interesting make-up looks perhaps...” she reveals. “I’ve always been a Minnie fan so I’m really excited to be working on this campaign, showing how pop culture can influence fashion in a way that encourages excitement and creativity.” Think you can put a twist on the classic Minnie image?
