Girls with glossy 90s pouts in sharply cut leatherShareLink copied ✔️March 2, 2015FashionShowTextBiju BelinkyPhotographyPaolo MusaTrussardi AW15 Initial reaction: Girls on top – women in charge march down the runway in fur coats, nappa leather and earthy hues. Twisting tradition: Gaia Trussardi brought a succession of clean-cut garments that highlighted the power materials have to make a statement. Although the looks were quite traditional in themselves – a business combo, a long coat, a jumpsuit – the sophistication of the cut and the balance between muted colour and the mix of textures (metallic leather, fur, suede) made for an essay in the “less is more” philosophy. How it was worn: The dark brown lip may have not been seen much since its 90s heyday, but its comeback at Trussardi was anything but nostalgic. Pouts were slicked with chocolate gloss, and in some cases painted jet black, proving that there’s a glamour to be found in goth. Hair was tied back and tousled, while leather boots completed the look. Backstage at Trussardi AW15Photography Paolo MusaEscape the algorithm!
