All that power: Dramatic tunes (think: SomethingALaMode’s “Endless Stairs”) set the pace for Jason Wu’s power ladies, who emerged against a wall of windows showcasing the New York skyline. But not to be overshadowed by the scene, Wu’s long-legged beauties – lead by muse Karlie Kloss – embodied the show’s title: 'Strength and Seduction'. Femme fatale: This season the designer went bold, channelling actresses from the 20s like Marlene Dietrich and Greta Garbo. The furs were big and the skins, exotic; the geometric heels were high, while the slits were even higher. To amp up the seduction, Wu also threw in some bold reds, plunging necklines and exposed shoulders for good measure. It’s not all sex though, Jason Wu’s woman is dynamic – a force to be reckoned with if you dare. Take for instance, a grey flannel suit for the day time, ladylike blouses paired with slim trousers and an easy duster coat or two. This is not a woman to ignore – not that she would let you, anyway.
