FashionOverdoseDazed Overdose Fri 27th Feb: Karen LangleyAfter a truly overdosed week of rushing between London, Paris and Milan, Karen takes a wee breather at Armani, D&G and a Burberry dinner.ShareLink copied ✔️February 28, 2009FashionOverdoseTextKaren Langley The last week truly has been an overdose. As soon as my work was done on the Peter Pilotto show I was on the Eurostar for Paris. Two days working on looks for the Peachoo + Krejberg paris fashion week show and then off to Charles de Gaulle to catch the last flight to Linate. Got in late that night. Had quick welcome drinks in the lobby with my mate Dave before having an indulgent flake moment bubble bath and then bed.Woke up put on my new gorilla print Chris Kane frock and headed to the 9:15 Byblos show, cruised the Gas and Piazza Sempione showrooms and then the Giorgio Armani show. Love!!! Eighties all the way with patent leather gloves, hats and a soundtrack to match. D&G was also a highlight. A troop of rich bitches - quilted brocade, velvet and of course high high heels. Jewel encrusted jeans were too too much.Sat behind Emmanuelle Alt and Carine Roitfeld at Gianfranco Ferre. Their Balmain and Margiela silhouettes were quite apt as the models strutted out with amazing shoulders as high as skyscrapers. Then headed to Hogan for shoe spotting, lunch and more skyscrapers (the showroom had a revolving NY backdrop which circled the new AW09 collection)Burberry was at 5pm. The chain wraparound watches made me very very happy. Alberta Ferretti and then on to Jil Sander. I need Anya K's look to be mine!!! A black sculptured dress with long structured gloves. Shoes were unreal...A quick scrub up at the hotel and then Burberry treated us to an amazing dinner at Baguta. I'm stuffed - thank you Justin!
