Leather and luxe: It was sports luxe in the lightest of leathers with serious curvature. Creative director Alessandra Facchinetti is carrying on Tod's ready-to-wear remit to take leather and work it into the most luxurious garments for SS15. Leather in the hands of Tod's craftsmen is moulded into curved-edge skirts, biker jackets with rounded-off sleeves and with extra-round embellishment in the shape of layers of pebble-shaped leather applique. In neutral colours and pastel shades, the effect was that of a topographic map. Tropicana safari: To balance out all the leather, Facchinetti worked in an abstracted tropical bird print into safari jackets, trench coats and trouser suits. An indoor garden green hedge labyrinth was hanging with chrome and glass lanterns, which then looks out into the gardens of the Villa Reale.
