Havin’ it large: Go hard or go home seemed to be the manifesto for Katie Hillier and Luella Bartley's highly anticipated second Marc by Marc Jacobs collection. And if anyone knows how to design by that mantra, it's them. For their second coming, the duo sent their gang of MBMJ girls down a speaker-filled runway in micro bun Mohawks (hello Björk), pastel latex ankle boots and skin-on leather trousers. Polka dots were spray painted onto PVC garments and bras were worn over button-down shirts (remember doing that? we do). New world system: As the graphic codes of this season suggested, this was the “NEW WORLD SYSTEM”. We're sure collaborator Fergus 'Fergadelic' Purcell had a hand in that one, but it was a fitting manifesto for the season. Hillier and Bartley are fearless in their new approach – and that's something every MBMJ girl should live by.
