Having partnered with Hadid since the opening of his Hong Kong store in 2011, Barrett has ensured that each of his individual outlets around the world are in fluid synchronization with one another. The London installment is no exception. Through an aesthetic of asymmetrical lines twinned with glass and steel, Barrett’s frequent references to periods of modernism and the minimalist designs of Ray and Charles Eames are realised in both the shop and his SS14 menswear collection, which is currently on sale. It is clear that architecture and design are two interminable qualities in Barrett’s work and this creative collaboration is exemplary of this. Neil Barrett at Harvey NicholsEscape the algorithm!
