Fashion / ShowBoss Hugo Boss AW14Campaign star Edie Campbell leads Jason Wu's debut of impeccable tailoring and blush sequinsShareLink copied ✔️February 12, 2014FashionShowTextKatherine BernardPhotographyKathy LoBoss Hugo Boss AW14 Initial reaction: For Jason Wu's debut at Hugo Boss, we met a woman who is at once structured and ethereal, stark and shimmering. Crisp grey suiting (with boxy cuts over longer blazers), impeccably tailored coat dresses, and slim charcoal tuxedos gave way to gauzy sequined dresses in blush and soft grey. Sharp, clean American clothes that leave us with all questions answered. Set: A mini forest, replicated with the aid of several mirrors. Lush moss, clusters of white flowers, and tree trunks. Music: "Happiness Does Not Wait" by Olafur Arnalds. Perhaps a good motto for the Hugo Boss woman, who clearly goes after what she wants. Celebz: Reese Witherspoon, Diane Keaton and Gwyneth Paltrow were all front row. And dare we say, the coat dresses in the collection reminded us of Wu's client Michelle Obama. Last look: Never not happy to see Stella Tennant on the runway. Especially in a tux!
