A winter wonderland making us reconsider despair in the face of the endless polar vortex in New York. Tons of varieties of plaids and pom-pom beanies. A contrast of rugged structure with velvet and suede luxury.

Winter wonderland:

The set for the show was a ski village, complete with a ski lift, evergreen trees, a snowy path runway and mountains in the distance.

Inside-outside synchronicity:

The Tommy team could have shoveled snow into the Park Avenue Armory from the sidewalks outside.

Music:

Cat Power, Smashing Pumpkins, Elliott Smith and Neil Young’s Cinnamon Girl on the playlist – it feels like a road trip from a boarding school up to Vermont for some weekend skiing (and, if you're wearing soft plaids, probably kissing).
