EXCLUSIVE: Craig Lawrence Womenswear SS13

In an exclusive film, Lawrence considers the transformational power of reflective yarn

The organisms under the deep, dark sea were the stimulus for Craig Lawrence's SS13 collection, styled by AnOther's Nell Kallonji. The inspiration manifested as a line-up of extreme hair and antennae, as models had stiff sculptured tendrils emanating from their skulls whilst their dresses sprouted shaggy silver (fibre-optic) strands, reflecting camera flash when the lights turned off for the finale. One model wore a slinky silver shift, with streaming plastic tuffs extending a foot away from her body. Even the model wearing a silver knitted head-scarf, extending from a multi-tiered ball gown, still had snaky spit curls framing her cheekbones. The most exciting look had the fullest mane. It was a simple silver dress, with delicately knitted silver sleeves and a body constructed entirely from long, ice-white, locks. A billion fairies must be bald today, thanks to Craig Lawrence.
