FashionShowE Tautz S/S12A fresh new take on home grown staples, in silhouettes that would suit everyone, bought together an impressive show by Patrick GrantShareLink copied ✔️September 22, 2011FashionShowTextNicholas SmithE Tautz S/S12 If E Tautz is a brand that rings as freshly to you as a shiny new bell, then you may be surprised to learn that the label has it's hems in the great British Tradition of tailoring, hailing from the Saville Row itself. Now, dutifully helmed by exciting-young-thing Patrick Grant, the label is lapping up love from many an outlet as it seeks to redefine traditional British codes of dress in a thoroughly modern take on tradition. In a collection that saw a delightful return to homegrown staples of aristocratic linens and paired down suiting, it was easy to get lost in the dreamy palette of creams and pale blues. Summer for Grant and Tautz seems set to be a heady dreamscape of bold stripes and expanded silhouettes with a range for the 'everyman', a feat more difficult to achieve than one might think; there are pieces here everyone wants to have. Our favourite? The knits, chunky, warm and knitted by eight nattering, real-life grandmothers in South Wales. A toast for Tautz.
