Premiering on October 21, the unscripted show will focus on couples who learn to improve their relationships with advice from sex experts and off-kilter intimacy methods across six half-hour episodes. Naturally, this includes touchless orgasms and wolverine claw sex toys, if the trailer is anything to go by. “Sex, Love, and Goop explores what it means to be truly intimate in a relationship: to express your deepest fears and desires, and to accept those of your partners,” Paltrow said in a statement. “A continuation of Goop’s mission to help our audience pursue the ineffable power of their own potential, the show is a tool kit for finding more pleasure and connection in our romantic lives. And it’s full of lessons I wish I’d learned years ago.” The experts in question include Michaela Boehm, Goop’s ‘go-to’ expert in intimacy, relationships, and sexuality, Jaiya, a sexological bodyworker and founder of The Erotic Blueprint Types, Amina Peterson, a tantra and ‘sacred intimacy’ coach, Darshana Avila, an erotic wholeness coach, and Katarina ‘Kato’ Wittich, a family constellations facilitator. Paltrow’s 2020 show The Goop Lab saw the actor enlist her Goop staff on a number of whacky wellness sojourns, from mushroom healing to cold exposure therapy and energy field massages. No doubt season two will be packed with equally Goopish moments – but, in the meantime, here’s some of our suggestions. Watch the trailer for Sex, Love, and Goop below.
