Trends forecasters have announced digital lavender as the colour of 2023 – we round up the best beauty products to help you tap into the soft floral hue
Digital Lavender is the colour that will represent the mood of 2023 – that is, according to trend forecasting agency WGSN and colours authority Coloro. The two have joined forces to predict the colours that will be popular worldwide in a few years time, and the pale purple shade – think Kylie Jenner at the 2019 Met Gala – is leading the pack thanks to its ability to evoke calmness and serenity, and connect to people’s focus on wellbeing.
“Digital Lavender signifies that stability, serenity, and digital escapism that so many of us have built into our recuperative rituals to both protect and improve our mental health in challenging times,” Coloro’s head of content Joanne Thomas told Cosmetics Business. “As consumers find solace and comfort inhabiting the virtual space, the influence of video games and virtual realities will become all-encompassing, distorting the boundaries between our online and offline existence.”
To help you prepare for the future when we’re all head-to-toe in lavender, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite products in the appropriate hue.
