For so long considered the butt of the joke, the weird cousin of the hair world, this year the polarising style truly cemented its comeback, bringing some bonkers joy to bleak times. Miley Cyrus kicked off the trend back in January and was quickly followed by everyone from Christine and The Queens and Maisie Williams to Euphoria stars Barbie Ferreira and Jacob Elordi. Troye Sivan recently adopted the style with a little help from Charlie Le Mindu, while Zac Efron assimilated to Australian culture with a baby mullet of his own. Meanwhile, back in October, Rihanna sent many of the models including Cara Delevingne and Raisa Flowers down the Savage x Fenty runway with mullets. And now the singer-slash-beauty-mogul appears to have made the cut herself. Last week, Rihanna flew back home to Barbados for the holidays and has since been spotted on several occasions with the hairstyle including in some Instagram images taken by her friend Melissa Forde which sees the star pose in a cherry bikini from label HVN and some tiny Chanel bags. Fans have also been posting their encounters with their idol in which she can clearly be seen rocking the mullet. If you are considering making the cut for yourself, we spoke to hairstylist and queen of mullets Jemima Bradley to find out everything you need to know. Escape the algorithm!
