At last night’s Emmy Awards, the HBO show took home the award for Outstanding Contemporary Makeup (Non-Prosthetic) – a well-deserved honour for the team which consists of department head Doniella Davy as well as Kirsten Sage Coleman and Tara Lang Shah “I’m still beyond in shock & so happy,” wrote Davy on Instagram accompanied by a video of her reacting to the win. Stars of the show Zendaya – who made history by becoming the youngest person to win the Emmy for Lead Actress in a Drama Series – and Sydney Sweeney both sent their congratulations to the team. “This is so so special!!! I’m so freakin proud of everyone,” wrote Zendaya while Sweeney shared “so proud of these hard working, talented women.” It’s hard to remember the last time a television programme had as big a cultural impact on beauty as the first season of Euphoria, the influence of which was immediately felt across the board from make-up fans on Instagram to the heavyweights at fashion week where rhinestone eyes and graphic liner was in full effect. Alongside the make-up gong and Zendaya’s history-making win, Euphoria also picked up the Emmy for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for Labrinth’s finale number “All For Us.” This is so so special!!!
