Beauty influencer and blogger Ethan Peters, known as Ethan Is Supreme, has died at the age of 17. The beauty guru was known for his gory yet glamorous looks and has been remembered by fellow beauty personalities including Tana Mongeau, Jeffree Star, and Manny MUA.

The cause of his death has not been made public, but his friend Ava Louise mentioned online that he’s previously struggled with addiction. “Ethan had an addiction and addiction should not be shamed. I’m openly discussing his cause of death to save the next kid from a perc. He was so bright and so smart. He needed to live. He was more than his demons and you all are too. Please get help. Call 1-800-662-4357,” she wrote on Twitter.

“My best friend in the entire world, my twin flame... the only person there for me when I had no one,” she added. “I love you Ethan, I am at a loss for words. I wish I knew how bad it was. I know what you'd want me to say to the Internet RN but I’m to heartbroken to say it. RIP.”

Louise also revealed on Twitter she “had to pull Ethan aside in recent weeks and have talks with him about his usage,” saying that a week ago he had told her he “wanted help”. She also urged others to “snap your friends out of it before it’s (too) late”.

Peters had previously been accused of making racist and transphobic comments. His father told Fox News that “cancel culture” had “weighed heavily on his heart”, adding: “He wanted nothing but to inspire, make people laugh, and push the boundaries of what is acceptable in our world for all young people. He was (a) kind soul, who accepted everyone for who they were.”

Manny MUA tweeted: “Rest in peace ethan @trashqueenethan you were so incredibly talented at such a young age. i know he’s made many many mistakes... but to say he deserved to pass away is horrible and inhuman. i pray for his family and loved ones, a horrible loss.”

Star said: “Yesterday the makeup community lost someone: EthanisSupreme. Regardless of someone’s history or past, regardless of that I had to check out of Twitter yesterday because there was people revelling and enjoying someone passing away and I just had to turn off my phone.”

Mongeau also shared a previous post of her with Peters, writing, “RIP angel. my heart goes out to his family and friends. if u need anything reach out please.”
