‘A whole nother kinda pu$$¥’: Erykah Badu on Gwyneth’s Goop vagina candle

The singer has responded to comparisons between her vagina-scented incense and Gwyneth Paltrow's vagina-scented candle

Erykah Badu wants everyone to know that she isn’t taking wellness cues from Gwyneth Paltrow

Earlier this month, in an interview with 10, Magazine Badu revealed that she had incense in the works that is designed to smell like her “superpower” AKA her legendary vagina.

“There’s an urban legend that my pussy changes men,” she says in the interview, explaining that in order to create the fragrance she “took lots of pairs of (her) panties, cut them up into little pieces and burned them. Even the ash is part of it.”

With this news coming only weeks after Goop released its own yonic-scented product – the “This Smells Like My Vagina” candle with Heretic Parfum – comparisons between the two were inevitable. However, Badu has now spoken out, denying that there is any connection between the two.

Taking to Twitter, Badu posted saying “My incense was not inspired by Gwenith Paltrow. That’s a whole nother kinda pu$ $¥. I been in the lab for years. I stay on my pu$ $¥ muscle hustle. However, Panties off to Gwen’s candle! we love @goop.”

In our opinion, there’s plenty of space in the growing vagina-scent beauty market for the both of them and it seems that this opinion is shared. Goop’s candle quickly sold out after its release and so too has Badu’s “Badussy” incense which sold out in under 20 minutes when the musician's online store Badu World Market launched last week. “Fasses selling pu$ $c in the south ???!” Badu tweeted in response.

“The people deserve it!” she previously said in regards to the incense and it seems the people agree.
