A love that began in the nail salons of Queens, where she would spend the day with her grandmother as a kid, grew into a full-time career and an Instagram fanbase of over 50K. A psychedelic collage of everything from Sailor Moon to the creation of Adam, Fiji water to fashion monograms - her work is always kitsch and always fabulous. In her monthly column, Kro will shine a spotlight on the nail artists she is loving and the trends we should be following. Forget April showers, this month can pretty much be boiled down to just one day. And that’s the 20th. Yup, this week it’s 4/20 baby. And no-one’s happier about that than our Contributing Editor Kro Vargas. “This month’s column is all about Mary Jane! With 4/20 coming up it’s only right I share some of my favourite THC-themed talons.” Pulling a whitey I added some subtle negative space weed leaves on the pinkies for this clean white mani. A perfect way to show your appreciation this month. Darling buds of Mary Jane @rosebnails gives a bright floral print with a few dainty marijuana leaves to give this manicure the perfect 420 touch.
