The Willy Wonka of the perfume industry, Byredo are heralded for their innovative product concepts, drawing inspiration from the likes of Ikea, traditional myths and elevator music. Their latest addition to their product portfolio is a luxury textile fragrance Toile, described as “a new perfuming experience”. Yes, that’s right, it’s for your clothes. “Toile is a fresh yet elusive perfume. It hints at the metallic tingle of a freshly starched shirt collar and the abstraction perfumers use to hush overly dramatic flowers,” reads the press statement. With bergamot and fresh aldehyde as its top notes, followed by lily of the valley and violet silk at its heart, before fading into cotton musk and amber, the fragrance is designed to blend effortlessly with other scents. Launching on April 4th as part of their permanent edition, the fragrance will be available from Byredo flagship stores and online for £48.
