Gaga regularly pledges her support against victim blaming, sexism in the music industry, and provides hope in times of adversity and prejudice – especially for the LGBTQ community, within which she holds a large following. She has been one of the many high-profile personalities to lend a voice to Hillary Clinton’s campaign, giving a speech at her rally last week. During the speech she spoke of Clinton’s experience, and of the credentials that made her fit to run as the US president. “She kept going and she kept fighting for women's rights,” she said. “She kept fighting for the care of our children. She kept fighting for those that are in need”. “We are stronger together. And what I see in this remarkable woman is that she is ready to restore peace in this country. America is not America without its people”.
