And when it comes to infamous poet-come-light artist, Robert Montgomery, the message is quite literally spelt out. Now, young artists have the chance to be hand-picked by Montgomery himself. Lights of Soho in London has invited young artists who use light as a medium to enter a competition to exhibit alongside major names in a show guest curated by Robert Montgomery. The curator of the art gallery and member’s club, Hamish Jenkinson, said,: "With this show, I’m hoping that we can reach artists who are well into their craft or just discovering it. I’d like to show young artists that art is a democratic experience and that they too can be featured in a London gallery." There’s not long to enter – it closes this coming Monday, 14 September – and artists will be notified by 19 September. The exhibition, Signs that Say What You Want Them to Say... will run from 8 October to 21 November. To submit art, send submissions to open@lightsofsoho.com with information about yourself or your practice (150 words max), along with three high quality images of your work, or click here for more information on entering See more of Montgomery’s work below Robert MontgomeryEscape the algorithm!
