Dazed teams up with Converse and the Whitechapel Gallery to celebrate new art talent
Dazed and Converse are joining forces once again to present the third annual Converse/Dazed Emerging Artists Award, in conjunction with the Whitechapel Gallery.
We’re looking for creative originality - something that challenges our perceptions and strikes a chord instead of fitting into an established framework. With no theme, no agenda and no restrictions, this is your chance to show us what you’re made of!
Unrepresented UK-based artists under 35 and not in education are invited to submit their work, across the spectrums of photography, video, sculpture, performance or any other form.
Our panel comprised of Nancy Durrant, Arts Commissioning Editor, The Times; James Early and Yuri Pattison of LuckyPDF; Magnus Edensvard, Director, IBID PROJECTS; Kirsty Ogg, Curator, Whitechapel Gallery, Artist Jeremy Deller and Dazed & Confused’s Visual Arts Editor, Francesca Gavin - will be selecting the finalists.
All four finalists will be invited to create and exhibit site-specific work which will be exhibited in a specially-curated east London location. The winner will take home a £6,000 prize whilst the three runners up will receive £1,000 each.
