Here’s what went down at this behind-the-scenes sneak peek at what went into the exhibition. The exhibition – a collaboration between Louise te Poele, the V&A, and Saatchi Gallery – brings together ten contemporary Dutch female artists, each responding to a historical artwork by a female artist from the Prints and Drawings Study Room at the V&A. The result is a bold and compelling conversation between the past and the present, celebrating artistic legacy, reinterpretation, and connection across time. The tour started with a deep dive into the V&A Prints and Drawings Study room, with each artist presenting an artwork that was used as source material that inspired their work in the exhibition – small prints and photographs from the vaults. Photography Kultured Glass We then led Dazed Clubbers for a walkthrough of the exhibition itself at Saatchi Gallery, where curator Louise te Poele and the artists Bregje Sliepenbeek, Audrey Large and Bobbi Essers talked through their work and practice. The evening was rounded off with exclusive access to Saatchi lates with complimentary champagne. The exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery runs until 12 January.
