Now, the sexual healthcare charity is set to showcase the latter as part of a new, artwork-filled calendar to benefit Planned Parenthood of New York. Conceived by Ariella Starkman and launched alongside creative director Jen Brill (both of Homme Girls), the benefit calendar features a total of 12 artworks that revolve around womanhood, autonomy, freedom, and the intersection of these themes. Alongside Holzer’s artwork – which takes the form of a gold condom wrapper emblazoned with dreamy text art – the featured images range from Ana Mendieta’s land art and a Catherine Opie portrait, to contemporary photography from Farah Al Qasimi and Marilyn Minter. The full list of featured artists includes Jenny Holzer, Louise Bourgeois, Ana Mendieta, Faith Ringgold, Catherine Opie, Marilyn Minter, Farah Al Qasimi, LaKela Brown, Janiva Ellis, Lauren Greenfield, Fumiko Imano, and Maggie Lee. Model Paloma Elsesser also contributes a foreword on abortion. 100 per cent of the proceeds from the calendar will aid Planned Parenthood of New York and facilitate its abortion services, as a direct response to a wave of anti-abortion legislation across the US. This couldn’t come at a more vital time, as post-Roe America continues to see abortion rights attacked by members of the Republican party. Take a closer look at the images in Planned Parenthood’s benefit calendar above, and pick up a calendar – available here – to help support the organisation. Pre-orders are available now, and calendars will be shipped by January 31. Expand your creative community and connect with 15,000 creatives from around the world.READ MOREDazed Club callout!
