It’s not new for the Kardashian-Jenner clan to be flashy, but usually they're posting designer clothes, jewellery, and real estate. However, youngest sister Kylie took to Instagram yesterday to reveal her impressive art portfolio, giving her followers a tour of her mansion and its several works by YBAs (Young British Artists).
The 20-year-old showed off a range of romantic artworks, including two Tracey Emin light installations. One is a neon light that reads “The Kiss Was Beautiful” which hangs above a fireplace, while another piece says “I Can’t Believe How Much You Love Me” and is placed on a wall above some other framed works.
Emin is a favourite in the family, with Kris and Kendall both owning some of the British artist’s signature signs. (Kendall’s is more graphic – she owns a piece from 1999 that reads “glad to hear you’re a happy girl” beneath the circumference and dimensions of Emin's ex-boyfriend’s penis.) Each piece is worth between an estimated $90,000 to $130,000 each.
Kylie then showed off a series of Damien Hirst butterfly foil prints, which were each made as part of his I Love You project, and ended with some framed halved loveheart prints by Elseworth Kelly, which hang above a perspex piano. While other 20-year-olds are doodling lovehearts and sweet nothings on bits of line paper at their desk, Jenner just amasses more contemporary art pieces to express herself.
