Having worked with R.E.M. on several other film projects (he directed the video for 'How The West Was Won' and caught the band on film while recording 'Collapse Into Now' in the studio), Bangs was given the opportunity to create this unique film for the last track on the album. Bangs, who also directed the Spike Jonze-produced 'The Lazarus Effect', dressed Stipe up in an array of imaginative costumes and had him take the subway, hang out in a garden and an empty staircase.
