Beck's will be offering upcoming UK bands the one-off chance to support Phoenix as they play Berlin this November. As part of a wider collaboration with Phoenix, specially designed art labels have been created to feature on a limited number of Beck's bottles and cans. With each art label, consumers can download a free track of their choice via Play.com from mid September - letting consumers shape their music experience with Beck's. Having a history of using the most pioneering techniques to deliver uncompromising quality of experience, over time Beck's commitment to innovation and free-thinking has evolved into Beck's giving creative freedom to musicians and artists through such innovative associations as the Beck's art labels, where artists including Gilbert & George, Tracey Emin, Damien Hirst, Tim Head, Sam Taylor-Wood, Jake & Dinos Chapman, Hard-Fi, the RCA and Ladyhawke have been given the opportunity to use the Beck's bottle as their canvas. Beck's has a history of bringing together leading musicians and artists, including the Chemical Brothers, Massive Attack and United Visual Artists, to create electrifying audio-visual experiences in a series of amazing one-off performances called the Beck's Fusions. Most recently in summer 2010 the Beck's Vier Music Inspires Art UK tour showcased free gigs with amongst others The Horrors, Caribou, These New Puritans, Vampire Weekend, Mount Kimbie, Ariel Pink, New Young Pony Club, Hudson Mohawke. To win a chance to support Phoenix in Berlin, bands simply sent a link to their best track via the Beck's myspace page at myspace.com/becksmusic. Entries are judged by a panel that includes Phoenix and Jamie Hodgson (NME UK) before going to the public vote. The competition is now closed. For anyone not in a band, a VIP ticket package to the gig (including flights, hotel and tickets to the gig) is also up for grabs via Dazed Digital.
