The Canadian art-rock outfit touring with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs give us a little advice...
Dazed Digital just got back from Montreal. The land of snow, French Canadians, chips, cheese, and gravy, and an amazing art-led music scene, where everyone is beautiful, looks under 25, and channels their angst into awesome musical shredding. Duchess Says is one of these bands. Psychotic art rock from the devout followers of The Church of Budgerigars; led by Annie-Claude, the band first appeared in Dazed in July and are currently on a UK tour with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. We caught them on some down time in London, watching weird Japanese cartoons.
