MusicNewsDrake calls out a casino with claims of racial profilingAnd his fans are madShareLink copied ✔️November 4, 2018MusicNewsTextThom Waite Drake has accused a casino of racial profiling after being refused service there, saying it “is the worst run business I have ever witnessed”. The claim against the Parq Casino in Vancouver came in an Instagram story last night, as Drake visited the city as part of his Aubrey & the Three Migos Tour. We are required to adhere to strict regulations with respect to gaming in British Columbia. We are actively investigating this matter and have made several efforts to reach out to the customer and his team to discuss the issue. We are committed to having a productive conversation to resolve this issue.” The casino also specified, in a post on Instagram: “We categorically stand against racism of any kind.” But the casino’s statements haven’t stopped it coming under fire from Drake’s fanbase on social media (obviously). They turned off the comments for the most recent post, but previous Instagram uploads have been flooded with criticisms that leave the fans’ feelings pretty unambiguous. “Mr champagne don’t fw u,” one commenter wrote, while a particularly enthusiastic Drake fan added: “Don’t EVER disrespect the BIGGEST man in entertainment. Put some respect on DRAKES name you FUCKING COWARDS!!!!” Others mocked the casino’s evasive actions in the wake of the rapper’s complaint, saying: “LMAOOOO y’all turned the comments off das tuff.” Whether the casino’s refusal of service was racially motivated, as Drake claims, or all a misunderstanding, it’s pretty obvious that they picked the wrong person to rile up.
