On “Money”, Cardi reflects on her success over the past year, and raps about her recent motherhood (“I got a baby, I need some money”). There’s also a Black Panther reference: “Wakanda forever!” The rapper first teased new music back in August, telling fans on Instagram Live that she wanted to release a few songs that didn’t fit the vibe of Invasion of Privacy, but she was “missing like four or five songs” from the release. Although she teased a September 1 release date, it had to move due to her workload. Earlier this month, Cardi B was arrested and charged over an alleged fight in a strip club. She was accused of ordering members of her entourage to attack two bartenders at a Queens strip club. She is scheduled to be arrainged on October 29. Listen to “Money” below. Escape the algorithm!
