The single, titled “Ride ’Em on Down”, is a cover of a 1955 Eddie Taylor track, and is taken from the band’s new album Blue And Lonesome. The accompanying video, released today, sees Stewart ride a vintage Mustang around a suspiciously traffic-free LA. Over the course of the three-minute clip, the Clouds Of Sils Maria actress buys beer, eats a lollipop and gyrates around a petrol pump. There is also a zebra. “It didn’t take much more than a few words to get me amped on the idea. The Stones. A ’65 Mustang. Alone in Los Angeles. And the shoot was just as dreamy as the idea,” said Stewart. “We tore LA apart in a day and we had one hell of a soundtrack.” Watch the clip in full above.
