Premiered on Beats 1 last night and titled “The Orange Monkey”, the song is the third to surface from the album after “The Wheel” and “The Community of Hope”. The Hope Six Demolition Project was inspired by Harvey’s international travels, visiting places like Kosovo and Washington, D.C. The lyrics of “The Orange Monkey” could be interpreted as a commentary on these journeys: “I took a plane to a foreign land / and said, I’ll write down what I find”.
