Breaking the news via an Instagram post, Ferreira says, “It just got announced that I'm going to be in Baby Driver directed by @edgar_wright”. While details on the film are sparse, early inklings suggest Baby Driver is a British-American action/comedy/crime film set for a 2017 release, with Ferreira starring alongside Jon Hamm, Jamie Foxx and Kevin Spacey. The news comes as the musician makes further advances in the world of acting. With her latest role – co-starring in The Trust alongside Nicholas Cage – premiering today at this year's SXSW festival. Ferreira also appeared in Eli Roth’s The Green Inferno last year, and will take on the role of 70s housewife, (appearing again alongside Kevin Spacey) in Elvis & Nixon, also expected to be released this year. In the post Ferreira further announced she’ll be featuring in emerging director Jess Manafort’s Rosy. But don’t assume all this acting has diverted the musician from her second album release, Ferreira told us (as part of her Dazed Spring 2016 cover feature) to expect the long-awaited Masochism this summer.
