The former One Direction star debuted the track on Twitter earlier this morning, just days after announcing the details of his first album Mind of Mine. The clip – which features an appearance from rumoured girlfriend Gigi Hadid – is Malik’s first attempt to make “real music” since leaving the band, and has been described by the singer as “pure”, “dirty” and “raw”. “I think I’m pretty black and white about what it’s about,” he told Sunday Times recently. “Everybody has sex, and it’s something people wanna hear about. It’s part of everybody’s life, a very big part of life! And you don’t wanna sweep it under the carpet. It has to be talked about.” It’s been a long time coming – and with Frank Ocean’s producer claiming that Malik was “pure genius” last year, do you think it lives up to the hype? Escape the algorithm!
