Music / NewsWatch Sia and Maddie Ziegler in this captivating performanceThe wig-wearing musician and her dance muse reunited for a mind-blowing live rendition of ‘Alive’ShareLink copied ✔️December 2, 2015MusicNewsText Daisy Jones Last year’s collaboration between pop zeitgeist Sia Furler and Dance Moms star Maddie Ziegler was like a match made in music/art heaven. In Sia’s trilogy of mega-hit videos (“Chandelier”, “Elastic Heart” and “Big Girls Cry”) Ziegler offered her distinctive ragdoll dance interpretation of the musician’s spray-paint emotions, birthing a creative partnership that looked built to last. We thought that Zielger had bowed out of their inimitable (and much-parodied) performances, but if this live rendition of “Alive” is anything to go by – she could be back (hopefully for good). In it, Sia sings beneath the cover of a black dress, while Ziegler dances manically and punches a glass window before they both fall dramatically to the ground. The performance follows the news that Sia has recently written a new film starring Maddie Ziegler. Watch the performance in it’s entirely above. Escape the algorithm!
