According to 18karatreggae.com, Rihanna is allegedly launching her own line of cannabis called MaRihanna. The site reports that the Bajan’s line will feature a variety of Caribbean-themed flavours including Karibbean Kush, Haitian Haze and Jamaican High Grade. “MaRihanna by Rihanna is truly the first mainstream cannabis brand in the world and proud to be a pioneer,” she said, announcing the launch at the apt location of the Cannabis Cup (a marijuana trade show) in Negril, Jamaica last week. “MaRihanna is blazing (pun intended?) a trail for the industry.” Apparently, MaRihanna will be going on sale in Colorado, where the recreational use of marijuana is legal, early next year. At a later point, this will be extended to America’s other weed-friendly states (Alaska, Oregon, Washington) and the rest of the world when its drug legislation loosens up. While Rihanna is yet to confirm the news, she’s always been very open about her pro-marijuana legalisation stance. In the past she’s posted a picture of herself sucking on a blunt with the hashtag #legaliseit, as well as one of herself smoking two giant joints in Amsterdam. Of course, launching a cannabis line would just add to RiRi’s many business ventures. As well as being a singer, songwriter, producer, actress and Dior campaign girl, she’s got seven fragrances to her name and works as a creative director for Puma and the Stance sock company.
